Mor Repair Co

Award Winning Business

Mor Repair Co

I was really keen to use my advertising skills to create a solution to a problem caused by advertising: new stuff. Armed with a start up loan and a Peugeot Bipper, I set up Mor Repair Co. A business that aims to make repairing just as good as buying new, to help reduce the production of new products, a massive contributor to climate change. Think of it as Deliveroo for Repairs. We pick up your broken thing, deliver itto a local repair shop who mend it, then your stuff gets dropped off good as new, David Hasslefree. You can see the website here (designed, written and built by yours truly), and below are some of my favourite things I've done to promote it so far.

I wrote some (highly successful) ads for social media to advertise the business locally.

The idea was to stop people going out and fixing their stuff themselves. And Coronavirus was a good reason why, so I created some t-shirts to convince people that outside was terrifying.

I managed to get my girlfriend on the front page of the local papers too - added bonus.

This one isn't officially out yet, but I am working with a local brewery and bakeries to create the world's first recycled beer. A pale ale created using waste bread to replace malts usually used in the brewing process. Bready? Sorry.

So far, we've prevented more than a ton and a half of CO2 that would be created by new items, the equivalent of driving to Namibia.
